The City of Pelham is proud to announce significant improvements coming soon to Pelham City Park, enhancing both the functionality and overall experience for athletes, families, and visitors.
The planned upgrades include the addition of:
- Six new covered batting cages
- A new concession stand
- A new restroom facility
These additions will provide much-needed amenities to support the city’s growing recreation programs and events while improving accessibility and comfort for park users.
“Pelham City Park is one of our most active community spaces, and these upgrades reflect our continued investment in providing top-quality facilities for residents and visitors,” said Brian Cooper, Director of Pelham Parks & Recreation. “We’re excited to bring these improvements to life and to continue enhancing the recreational experience here in Pelham.”
Construction has begun and is expected to continue for apprx 8 months.
Construction has begun at the main entrance to the baseball fields in City Park. Please expect construction traffic and ongoing work for approximately 8 months at that entrance.
The area will remain open, but we encourage walkers to adjust routes to avoid the work zone and use extra caution near equipment and vehicles.
Pelham Parks & Recreation remains committed to fostering community connections, promoting active lifestyles, and maintaining safe, welcoming spaces for all to enjoy. Projects like the current planned enhancements help us achieve those goals along with providing programs, facilities, and community events that enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors.
