The Pelham City Council has approved a change to its regular meeting schedule.
For many years, both the City Council Work Session and the Regular City Council Meeting were held on the first and third Mondays of each month. To align with municipal best practices and allow additional time for review and discussion of agenda items, the Council voted to separate the meetings.
Under the new schedule, the Work Session will continue to be held on the first and third Mondays at 5:30 p.m. The Regular City Council Meeting will now be held on the Thursday following the first and third Mondays of each month at 5:30 p.m.
Separating the meetings provides Council members with additional time to review materials, ask questions, clarify issues, and collaboratively set the agenda before taking formal action.
All meetings will continue to take place at Pelham City Hall.
Residents are encouraged to attend City Council meetings and stay engaged with issues affecting the community.
