The City of Pelham partners with a local company to provide residents with free document shredding and electronic recycling services twice yearly. The spring event is typically held in April, and the fall event is usually in October.
On the day the e-recycling & shredding services are offered, the company sets up at Pelham City Hall to receive items. There is a six-box limit for free document shredding. Residents should not bring paper in three-ring binders. Manila folders, envelopes, office paper, etc. are fine. Staples and paper clips are okay, but please, no binder clips. Residents may bring the paper in any receptacle, and they will get their boxes, bags, etc., back after their documents are securely placed in the shredder.
